Bang-a-rama

This fall the bang is BIG BIG BIG! Most of us might have sported this look as kids and maybe still feels like it's a very juvenile look. Well guess what, the bang is edgier and hotter than ever. And there's a look for everyone!

The Blunt Bang

The blunt bang might be the style most have in mind when they think about bangs, as seen here on Rose Byrne. This is a strong look that really put focus on your eyes. If you have a round och square face you might wanna think twice about this straight cut bang, as it might widen your face a bit. For all of you with a big forehead this is the look to choose, since it covers up the forehead and makes your face look shorter. How to style the look? Blowdry hai with a round brush (natural haired brush gives more shine to the hair) with some heat protection and styling cream. If you have some curls or waves going on you could use a small flattening iron to straighten it out. Finish of with some hairspray for hold and some shine spray. The rest of the hair you could curl, straigthen or just leave as it is. Anything works.

The Wispy Bang

The wispy bang is a more versitile look than the blunt bang. This is a look that's more suitable for people with  round or square faces, because it's a muich softer look. You could do it as wispy as you'd like, just talk to your hair dresser. This look is easier for those of you with straight hair, since a flattening iron reduces the natural and careless feeling this look gives. Simply blowdry your bang without using a brush. Shake the bang around with your fingers as you blowdry to give it a messy look, like Jennifer Lawrence. Finish with hairspray, and if you want it to look wispier you put some styling cream or wax on your fingertips and separate the ends of your bang.

The Short Bang

This look is a really dramatic one, and might not be for anyone. But if you wanna make a statement and turn some heads, this is the look to choose. Works best for people with oval face like Rooney Mara, as it is a strong look and the softer features of a rounder face might give another impression. This is a high maintenance look so be prepaired to visit the salon often. When styling this look it's important to blowdry correctly, using heat protection and a strong hold styling cream for hold. Blowdry with a round brush and flatten with flattening iron if neccesary. Spray a good amount of hairspray for extra hold. This is not a look that looks good wispy or more natural looking. If you have a really small flattening iron you could take it with you in your hand bag along with some hair spray for any touchups.

The Rounded Bang

This is another take on the blunt bang, but here the edges of the bang is rounded to blend in with the rest of the hair (as seen here on Mena Suvari). It gives the bang a softer look and also it doesn't widen the face as much as the blunt bang does. This look is styled like the blunt bang, blowdry and hairspray is key.

The Baby Bang

This is a look that works best on short hair, like Michelle Williams pixie cut. It's a soft feminine look but if straightened it looks a bit more edgy. It's a versitile look for short hair. For longer hairstyles this look might not be the best, since it might look like your baby hairs around your forehead just grown out too much. This bang works fine with just a blowdry, like the wispy bang without any brushes and really trying to make it look messy and natural. Any natural curls looks great in this look!

The Side Swept Bang

This might be the easiest look of all, that looks great on anyone (just look at Carrie Underwood). The side swept bang is simply a long bang, cut a bit diagonally and swept to one side of the face. It softens the face and adds some movement to your hairstyle. It's easy to maintain and easy to style. A great look for those who doesn't wanna go to the salon all the time. Style this any way you like: blowdry it with a round brush to the side, flatten it with a flattening iron or let it dry naturally. If you want a messy look you could mess it up a bit with some styling gel or wax.

So what are you waiting for? Go out and sport a new look this fall!
